Mr. Johnson has been involved in the investment community for over 30 years & is currently the Chairman of Featherstone Capital & the Chairman of Calibre Mining, a gold production company with operations in Nicaragua. Featherstone is a private investment company whose founders, and close network have created over $5 billion in value for shareholders in the natural resource sector. Blayne was a founder, Director & EVP of Newmarket Gold that was acquired by Kirkland Lake Gold for $1 billion in November 2016 as well as a founder of Terrane Metals that was acquired by Thompson Creek in 2010 for $750 million. His background includes extensive experience in all areas of the capital markets including M&A, equity & debt funding.

Darren Hall has over 35 years of experience in the mining industry with a track record of increasing production, reducing costs, improving capital effectiveness, and promoting health, safety and business excellence. Mr. Hall has previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Kirkland Lake Gold, which acquired Newmarket Gold, where he also served as the Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Newmarket Gold, Mr. Hall worked for Newmont Mining Corporation where he held roles of increasing responsibility throughout the organization for almost 30 years. Mr. Hall graduated with a Bachelor of Mining Engineering (Hons) from the Western Australia School of Mines in Kalgoorlie.

Douglas Forster

Mr. Forster has been involved in the mining industry and capital markets for over 35 years having acted as geologist, founder, director, senior executive and financier. Mr. Forster was Founder, President & CEO of Newmarket Gold Inc. which operated three gold mines in Australia with annual production of over 225,000 oz/year. Newmarket was acquired by Kirkland Lake Gold in a $1 billion transaction in 2016. Doug has extensive experience and a proven track record in mergers and acquisitions, public company management, mine operations, resource project development and equity and debt financing. For over three decades Mr. Forster has been creating wealth for North American and International investors through natural resource discovery, exploration, and operations. Mr. Forster holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in geological sciences from the University of British Columbia and is a Member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.

Audra Walsh is a Professional Engineer with over 20 years of technical, operating, management and board experience in the mining industry. She is CEO of Minas de Aguas Tenidas S.A.U. (MATSA), a privately held company owned by Trafigura and Mubadala, located in the Huelva Province, Spain. She formerly served as a member of the Board of Directors of Orvana Minerals Corp., and was Chair of their Technical, Safety, Health, Environment and Sustainability Committee. She also formerly held the position of President and CEO of Sierra Metals Inc., Minera S.A. and A2Z Mining Inc. She has held senior positions with Barrick Gold Corporation and Newmont Mining Corporation. Ms. Walsh is a graduate with a Bachelor of Science (Mine Engineering) from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, South Dakota, United States of America. She is a registered member of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration.

Mr. Farrauto has 28 years of experience as a senior financial officer in private and public companies. His experience encompasses financial and regulatory compliance and public company management. Mr. Farrauto has been directly responsible for overseeing private placement financings, prospectus filings, reverse takeovers and merger and acquisition transactions. He has extensive experience with U.S. filings including SEC clearance and reporting issuers.

Mike Vint

Mr. Vint is Associate Director of Mining with Endeavour Financial, a leading financial advisor in the natural resources sector providing advice in project financing, structured finance and mergers and acquisitions. Mike brings to the Calibre board extensive experience in mine operations and construction for precious and base metals as well as corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Vint has spent the majority of his career working in mining operations across the United States and Canada, he then transitioned to the Research department of CIBC World Markets covering the gold sector. Mike was a director of Newmarket Gold Inc. which was purchased for $1.0 billion by Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd. Mr. Vint is a registered professional engineer in the Province of British Columbia and received his Mining Engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines.

Omaya Elguindi

Omaya Elguindi has been a member of the North American technology business sector for over 20 years. She has been a founder, senior executive and director of numerous innovative companies that went on to be successfully acquired, bringing with her a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives to Calibre Mining. Ms. Elguindi continues to advise investors on tech opportunities and is currently the co-founder, President and CEO of Ekaria LLP, a company that manages the retail rewards program for American Express USA. Ms. Elguindi is a member of the Board of Directors of Newcore Gold Ltd. She joined the Calibre board as an independent director of the Company in June 2024. 

Paula Caldwell St-Onge

Paula Caldwell St-Onge, B.Sc., MBA, ICD.D is an accomplished ambassador with over 30 years of experience working in the Canadian Government. She has significant experience in government administration, international relations, political risk, sustainable development, international trade, economic development and environmental sciences. Ms. Caldwell St-Onge began her career in Public Service in 1989 and held progressively more senior positions in the Federal Environmental Assessment Review Office, the Privy Council Office and Environment Canada. At Environment Canada she was the Director General for Environmental Assessment and Emergency Security Preparedness and Chief Enforcement Officer. In her tenure with Global Affairs Canada, Ms. Caldwell St-Onge held a range of senior positions including Canadian Ambassador to Haiti, Director General Pan-African Bureau, Minister Counsellor Trade for the Canadian Embassy in Mexico and Brazil and Head of Mission-Consul General for the South-Central USA (Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana). Her expertise includes bilaterial trade, community relations, environmental and social impacts of major projects, and governance (ESG). Paula is the recipient of the Head of Public Service Award for Excellence in Public Policy and the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal. Ms. Caldwell St-Onge holds a B.Sc. from Queens University and an MBA from Cumbria University, UK.
